Product development is part of the Timbatec DNA. Employee-motivated innovations are particularly important to us. If an employee has an idea, she or he can develop it at Timbatec. This is how we keep bringing new innovative products and technologies to the market, which are later used throughout the industry.
Our interns deal with current challenges in bachelor, master and diploma theses. At Timbatec, mistakes are allowed and failures help us move forward. Thanks to this culture of innovation, we are now one of the leading wood engineers.

Impact sound measurements with small test bench
With a small test stand for impact sound measurements, ceiling structures in timber construction can in future be easily adapted to the current requirements regarding impact sound.

Dry bulk instead of HBV
A timber construction is only a real timber construction if it can do without concrete. This is why wood-concrete composite ceilings are already a thing of the past with us. Elastically bonded chippings are used instead.

Staircases: wood before concrete
Timbatec eliminates or minimizes the use of concrete and steel whenever possible. We also plan staircases and elevator shafts without steel and concrete whenever possible.

Prebena Compression Bonding, Uetendorf
Timbatec researched the important properties of staple press bonding on behalf of Probena AG. The aim of this method is to develop a practical alternative to press-fit screw bonding according to the German standard DIN 1052.
