Fabian Schlatter has joined the Bern site management team, replacing Armin Schawalder, who will be setting up the new Timbatec site in eastern Switzerland in St. Gallen. The chairmanship of the Bern site management team remains in the capable hands of Lukas Rüeggsegger and his Bern management team, which consists of Philipp Lutz and new member Fabian Schlatter.

As a timber engineer and proven fire protection specialist, you combine timber structural engineering, design, and execution reliability—from concept to implementation of challenging projects.

As part of the continuing education series «Hot Topic: Fire Protection in Timber Construction,» Yves Schihin and Andreas Burgherr provided insights into planning, implementation, and built examples from Switzerland. The focus was on robust concepts, systematics, and the integral approach in multi-story timber construction.

For ten years, Marcel Limbach has been shaping Timbatec with his strong project work, clear eye for costs, deadlines, and quality, and genuine team spirit. As co-head of plant planning, CAD specialist, and trainer, he combines practical knowledge with reliability—both in projects and within the team.

As part of the sia event series «Holzbau berühren» (Touching Timber Construction), Marcel Muster and Lisa Rogatsch demonstrate how timber hybrid buildings are structurally well thought out and constructively implemented. The focus is on the structural concept and the targeted use of TS3 technology in the Zelgstrasse project in Uster. Added value for investors, planners, architects, and timber builders.

At the Timbatec Salon in Vienna, everything revolved around the question of what implementation planning needs to look like in order to meet the requirements of timber construction. Around 40 guests discussed experiences from the LeopoldQuartier and practical approaches for better interfaces.

Wood Camp Live brings together international timber construction experts in Brno. Among them: Tamir Pixner from Timbatec, who will use the NQW project to show how well thought-out planning, clever details and integrated fire protection make sophisticated timber buildings possible.

The planning team led by gdap architectes sàrl, Geneva, achieved 2nd place in the «EMS Alp'Age-PSVJ» competition with the «ELSA» project. The design is based on a clear timber construction method and harmoniously integrates the nursing home into the challenging topography and the surrounding educational and healthcare area.
